I am a multiple award-winning wildlife photographer based in Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. I have been privileged to photograph in some of the world’s most remarkable wilderness regions and seen some of the planet's finest species.
I have always had a passion for all things with fur, feathers and scales as well as faraway places. I am definitely a natural wanderer, and love to journey to unknown lands and discover the natural delights they have to offer. In all honesty, I am not very good at staying in one place for very long.
With a background in the safari and wildlife travel industry I have been able to travel far and wide in search of an incredible array of species. I am probably best known for my work ‘Down Under’, photographing the unique and captivating wildlife of Australia. In fact, most of my awarded work comes from my year spent in the Antipodes.
In 2016 I was awarded as the winner of the ‘Threatened Species’ category in the Australian Nature Photographer of the Year Competition (ANZANG) with my image of a Dingo. This image was also used to promote the competition and appeared at the entrance of the exhibition. I had another two images feature in exhibition and book as finalists. However, it was in 2017 when I won the ‘Birds in Flight’ category in Bird Photographer of the Year that things really went to another level. More recently I was awarded as the winner of the Birds category in the prestigious MONTPHOTO competition, alongside some other big names in the world of wildlife photography.
My work has featured in a number of well known publications including BBC Wildlife magazine, in newspapers such as The Times & The Telegraph and websites across the world including National Geographic. My image titled 'A Perfect Landing' (Category winner in Bird Photographer of the Year 2017), also appeared in a special feature on The One Show on BBC1 with yours truly - you can see the video below.
I am also a busy photographic tour leader for Wildlife Worldwide. I lead tours all over the world and you can find out more about my schedule for the year ahead here.
I am represented by Nature Picture Library – if you have any commercial image enquiries, you can either go through Nature Picture Library or contact me directly.
